Brian Littrell was born on February 20^th, 1975 as the second son of Jacqueline and Harold Littrell in Lexington/ Kentucky. Harold, his brother, is four years older. Brian’s parents are very religious and because they recognise that Brian has an astonishing voice his parents sent him to church choir. Soon the news of that small blond boy  were spread and different churches invited him to sing at their communities. Later he became member of his school choir.

At the age of 5 Brian got diagnosed blood poisoning and needed to stay in hospital. Doctors found out that he had a hole in his heart. His parents had to pray for his health for about 2 months, because most of the time such an impairment leads to death. But Brian got better and was able to start school. Brian liked to play basketball with his brother Harold and his cousin Kevin but his parents kept an eye on him because of his heart disease.

One year later doctors found out that Brian’s hole in his heart had gotten smaller.

In school everybody knew of Brian’s fantastic voice and it was an honour for him to get invited by older girls to sing for them.

At the age of 15 Brian wants to become a professional basketball player but as he is only 1,73 meters tall this wasn’t a suitable job for him. But he kept his nickname “B-Rok” which comes from “shot the rock” and means playing basketball. “B” got put in front of it for Brian and so we got “B-Rok”.

Still at school Brian also was a temporary worker at McDonalds and helped out at a hospital to earn his own money. And instead of going to the disco he went to bible study with his parents.

With his own money and a little financial support from his parents and after getting his driving license he bought his first own car – a pick up truck, a 1988 model.

On April 19^th, 1993 his cousin Kevin called Brian’s school right in the middle of his history lesson. Brian went to the school office and got asked if he wanted to audition for Louis Pearlman for a band. One day later he got on a plane to Orlando – and you know what happened after that….!
